Also, Vicomtesse de Rambeau, who has no detail yet, could also join and be played by Gaia Weiss.
Lots of exciting things are going to happen in 'Outlander' season 2. Although viewers have to wait for months as the crew is currently filming, many spoilers are already released and teased fans. Latest update reveals that two new characters are coming next season.
According to International Business Times, one of the chief mistresses of King Louis XV named Madame de Pompadour may be seen next season. She is described as a "very intelligent woman" who was "valued" by the king of France, but is said to have had "delicate health." And Pompadour is said to have had keen interest in architecture and decorative arts.
Aside from Pompadour, Vicomtesse de Rambeau could be also seen in 'Outlander' season 2. Enstarz reports that the character could be expected, as latest speculations reveal that 'Vikings' actress Gaia Weiss is joining the cast to play the said character. The rumors sparked online after Weiss responded to a twitter post that she is happy working with old friends.
However, the coming of Pompadour and Rambeau in 'Outlander' Season 2 is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Latin Post reports that Tobias Menzies' character Frank Randall/Black Jack Randall is returning to Season 2 of 'Outlander'. In the leaked photos, actors Sam Heughan and Menzies are seen wearing their costumes while acting out a duel scene in Glasgow's Pollock County Park.
'Outlander' season 2 is slated to premiere sometime in 2016. And the exact air date is yet to be announced. But the show will have a new location - France.
