DreamWorks Animation has recently released a brand new "Kung Fu Panda 3" clip that parodies the iconic 'Star Wars' villain, Darth Vader. The third installment of the animated franchise is expected to open in cinemas on January 29.

The latest "Kung Fu Panda 3" video titled as "A Father Rises" nudges a bit of fun at the "Star Wars" franchise. As per Comic Book Resources the short clip opens with a dark screen backed with a familiar dark breathing who later on declares the iconic line of the Sith Lord: "I am your father". It then reveals Po and his out-of-shape father at the top of a set of stairs that the latter had no idea he could climb.

The upcoming third installment of "Kung Fu Panda" will see Po and his long lost father reunite again. According to Comic Book, the duo then journeys to a secret panda paradise to meet many entertaining new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to scrape over China defeating all Kung Fu masters, Po is forced to do the endurable -train his fellow villagers to become the supreme band of Kung Fu Pandas.

Jack Black returns as the voice of Po, alongside Rebel Wilson and Dustin Hoffman who will reprise their roles as Mei Mei and Master Shifu respectively. As previously reported, Angelina Jolie (Tigress), Jackie Chan (Monkey), Seth Rogen (Mantis), David Cross (Crane) and Lucy Liu (Viper) will also reprise their roles as Po's Kung Fu fighting friends. J.K. Simmons will also be in the film as the voice of the newest and even more intimidating villain, Kai the bull.

DreamWorks' most celebrated animated "Kung Fu Panda" franchise made its debut back on 2008, grossing over $600 million worldwide. It was followed by a sequel in 2011 which grossed almost the same amount globally. Both films were recognized as Oscar nominees for Best Animated Feature Film.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson based on the script written by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. It is expected to hit the big screen on January 29, 2016.
