Agents of SHIELD Season 3 Plot Revealed: ABC Leaks SHIELD's Alliance with ATCU and Secret Warriors To Gain Inhumans against Grant and the Hydra

ABC moves out of its usual way of keeping story lines to itself and letting its viewers' excitement and anticipation build-up till the actual airing of its series. ABC releases the official synopsis of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD a month before its premiere.

Cartermatt notes this odd step that ABC takes for Agents of SHIELD Season 3 but takes it in positively for the anticipating audience of the said series.

In the synopsis SHIELD is being rebuild by Director Phil Coulson (played by Clark Gregg), with the help of Daisy Johnson (played by Chloe Bennet) after SHIELD's battle against Jiaying and her army of Inhumans last season.

In the process, Coulson and Daisy meets two new Inhumans never seen in television yet. HNGN introduces Lash (played by Matthew Willig) and Joey (played by Juan Pablo Raba) as new characters made to join SHIELD. Lash is said to be the Inhuman whose loyalty is uncertain while Joey is the other newly turned Inhuman after the Terrigen Bombing in New York who can't control his powers.

To help rebuild SHIELD, Coulson tasks Daisy for the training of their Secret Warriors until they are finally ready to join SHIELD in defense of the weak and the world. Screenrant leaks that with the growing number of Inhumans, a new agency is formed called Advances Threat Containment Unit or ATCU to aid SHIELD. ATCU is being headed by the character yet to be named but is certainly played by Constance Zimmer with Andrew Howard as Banks, her second in command.

As the SHIELD, the Secret Warriors and the ATCU join forces to prepare against Hydra and the Inhumans, Grant Ward continues to spread Terrigen. Terrigen is an alien substance that unlocks superhuman abilities in selected individuals which Grant uses to rebuilt Hydra's terrorist organization. More humans are being turned to Inhumans whose power is uncontrollable. SHIELD and Hydra are now in the race of getting the Inhumans in their side. The Inhumans are left with the option of being SHIELD's Secret Warriors or Hydra's terrorists.

The universal battle between good and evil continues to be the theme of Agents of SHIELD. The battle between the SHIELD and its alliance against Hydra and its growing battalion shows the undying theme as revealed by ABC in the series' official synopsis. Agents of SHIELD premieres on September 29 at 9:00 PM ET on ABC.
