Dead Island 2 Release Date: Yager Productions facing bankruptcy after Deep Silver filed for insolvency? New game developer finally named

By

Days ago, Dead Island 2's former game developer stated that they have already filed for insolvency with their partnership with Deep Silver. The decision was made to protect the team members and at the same time to reorganize the entire studio. Yet, with this move by Yager Productions will not affect the entire project.

According to Gamespresso, Timo Ullmann, the studio's managing director, said that Yager Productions GmBH will be separating ways with Deep Silver with working Dead Island 2 as their project as they have filed for insolvency just recently. He also mentioned that this is the best move that the studio will be doing in order to restructure the studio while leaving members protected.

Midst the function of the studio as a single-purpose company, the game Dead Island 2 will be moving forward albeit its rumors that it might be halted due to this issue. They will be reorganizing their entity while have the filing of insolvency is in the middle of the proceedings.

The reason behind this issue is when Yager Productions was not able to make the game that Deep Silver wanted to achieve for the sequel. As described by some sources, the two have different visions on the project that caused its "fall out of alignment." This sounded terrible to the fans, who already are hyped with Dead Island 2 after the 2011's successful hit.

Based from the most recent news, Dead Island 2 will continue its development under Deep Silver since they recognized the fact that the fans are expecting for its sequel, which they also deserve having. This is also confirmed by Deep Silver with a statement that they will continue working "towards our vision of Dead Island 2 to life." Furthermore, they will just announce further details about the game and its features sooner.

Unfortunately, there is no confirmation yet made by Deep Silver whether they will have new game developer to replay Yager Productions as of now. On the other hand, Yager Productions is already working with "Dreadnought" as a flight combat simulator in partnership with Grey Box publishing. The two will have their own sets of their new projects slated.

For Dead Island 2, Yager Productions will push through the game's official release by next year. However, there is no confirmation yet about the whereabouts of the production whether they will really be able to make it on time for 2016's release or not since they are still busy with reorganizing the entire team and hoping that their employees will be paid on time, too.
