Amidst the feud between Drake and meek Mill, Nicki Minaj's former boyfriend Safaree Samuels has expressed his admiration to Drake's diss song for his rival. Meanwhile, the Drake-Mill rift is said to be the modern Tupac-Notorious B.I.G. word war.
SIDING WITH DRAKE?
The word war between rapper Drake and hiphop music artist Meek Mill has escalated wherein one of the former's latest diss track was in the form of a song entitled "Back to Back". International Business Times reports, Saferee Samuels, a record producer who happens to be Nicki Minaj's ex, who is currently Mill's girlfriend, likes the said diss track. He even congratulated Drake for doing a good job of making the song a number one hit. Samuels also expressed that he liked Drake as a rapper.
Meanwhile, Samuels also defended that his song "Lifelines" was not a diss song for Mill or Minaj and said it was a "facts track".
DRAKE VS. MILL
Drake and Mill's feud started in July when the latter tweeted that people should not compare him to Drake because the latter has a ghostwriter or he is not the one who writes his own songs. Drake responded through the diss songs "Charged Up" and "Back to Back" while Mill replied with the song "Wanna Know".
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is known to be friends with Drake but she is not letting her relationship be ruined with the feud, reports Hollywood Life. She of course is standing on her boyfriend's side despite not wanting to be involved in the rift.
Hiphop DX reports, Drake and Mill's rift is comparable to that of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac back in the days when there was no social media yet. Biggie and Tupac were even mentioned in "Back to Back" which goes "...when it comes to this rap s___, Biggie and Tupac had to die to be the mother______ greatest".
As of the latest, no fuel has been added to the fire after Mill borrowed a line from Drake's diss and used it on his Instagram post, in response to the rapper's recent diss.
