Quantum Break is one of the biggest games supposedly be developed under Microsoft. It has been planned for the last time to have a combined creation of video games and at the same time television-style programming. However, the game was not that successfully done after two years when Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment had planned.
The two giants in computer gaming seemed to have failed a lot of times to make this ambitious creation, Quantum Break, for their latest game console, Xbox One since their first revelation in 2013. According to Playboy, the plans that they created in the first few months when the concept was made is already considered decayed.
Albeit its admirable traits to have this particular thought of combining the video games that everyone loves to do with the usual television-style programming system. This concept is actually patterned from the games released and also became successful in the gaming market like Halo: Nightfall, and Atari: Game Over as mentioned in Reddit.
Because of this imperfect concept made and planned by Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment, a lot of the people around the globe already predicted that this project will not be pursued or not really attainable to be performed for development, Express Reports. There were several reasons why this is not supported by the public.
First, this is not fitting to the Xbox One's focus that means that there are still a lot of games out that supports Microsoft's current generation console, thus there seemed not to have spark for Quantum Break. Another reason next to that is, it does not appeal to the gamers compared to the game considered as underperforming psychological horror Alan Wake that was showed the first time during the Gamescom 2015 convention held at Germany.
Thus, the game Quantum Break aside from not having the concept properly foresaw in terms of the attainability of the project [specifically to the thought of combining video games and TV concepts into one big game], there is also a huge need for banking to a celebrity to star the game in terms of mainstream attention it requires.
As of the writing, Remedy Entertainment nor Microsoft has said anything or at least updates for Quantum Break's development and its current status since 2013. For two years, there is no definite intention or announcement from the two if this project will be true or will remain as a concept. Yet, there are released rumors that it would be officially be released next year.
Yet, there are a lot of diehard gamers who are looking forward that Quantum Break will be scheduled for development and later for release in due time amid its issues of unattainability as of the moment.
