Lewis Hamilton and Rihanna have been rumored dating. After they've seen in Barbados together and cozying up, they initially fueled speculations that there's something between the two. However, the Formula One race car driver revealed the real thing behind the rumors.
Talking with E! News at the 2015 MTV VMAs on Sunday, the 30-year-old F1 hunk revealed that there's nothing special going on between him and Rihanna.
"You know, I've known Ri for a long time," he says. "We've been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again. Otherwise, we're just good friends."
A source told the site that while she was seen dating Hamilton in July, the "Diamond" singer was still seeing Real Madrid star Karim Benzema. The insider adds RiRi doesn't want to label anyone as her boyfriend.
"She is not at any point in her life now ready to settle just for anyone, but she is enjoying the time she has with her friends and also focusing on work."
Rihanna seems to be playing well for now as she was also rumored to be seeing her ex-flame Chris Brown the same time, she was seeing the football star and the car racer. Latest reports reveal that the 27-year-old singer and Benzema dating news all fizzled out. Hamilton remains consistent in dating RiRi as of late because they were spotted again at yacht cruising at the Caribbean.
Hamilton was also seen with Rihanna in NYC hotspot partying on August 14, Hollywood Life reports. Last month, the songstress was also romantically linked to NBA star player Matt Barnes after his former wife Gloria Govan admits that she went with her ex-husband on a date two times.
The "Basketball Wives" star went to dish to TMZ that it's okay with her that her ex-husband is dating the singer as long as he will get tickets for her concerts. The veteran NBA player had a thing with the Barbadian beauty in the past after calling her his WCW (woman crush Wednesday) on Instagram in the recent months and flirting with her on Twitter some years ago.
Hamilton dated former Pussycat Doll singer Nicole Scherzinger in 2007 and parted ways this year. Their relationship went in turmoil after facing family and children issues as he wasn't ready yet to marry her.
