Imperial City will be the first ever DLC created for the Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. This expansion pack is now available worldwide for PC and Mac users. Now that Imperial City is ruled over by Daedric Prince Molag Bal, players are now tasked to free the capital city of Cyrodiilic Empire from demons and among each other.
The first expansion releases are usually special, both by developers and for players. ZeniMax's Creative Director Rich Lambert mentioned in their statement in The Elder Scrolls Online website:
"The Imperial City is special. Not only because it's our first DLC, but because it's a huge milestone for us as a studio. We are now able to shift our focus from business model changes and console launch to creating new, meaningful content. It's the first of many new quarterly DLC game packs, and we couldn't be more thrilled."
According to MCV, Imperial City DLC will be the biggest Elder Scrolls game yet ever developed by ZeniMax Online Studios. Packed with new content; it boasts of new battle areas, quests to conquer, enemies to kill and defeat, and exclusive items. This expansion pack adds hours for players brave enough to go through Tamriel on their own, in small teams, or with hundreds more.
VG 24/7 enumerated the new content features of the Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited expansion. Added dungeons have to be located in the extensive Imperial Sewers system, which offers new PVP and PVE challenges for small teams of adventurers. Meanwhile, PVEs with both Normal and Veteran difficulties are in the White-Gold Tower and Imperial Prison.
There are many and unique PVE and PVP encounters to choose from in each of the six Imperial Districts. Players will battle it out against the forces of Molag Bal and other Alliances. Gamers have to watch out for new enemies which include Xivkyn. For weapons, on the other hand, a new form of currency can be used for exclusive Veteran Rank 16 weapons and armor. Treasure Vaults are also available containing other rare finds.
Imperial City offers exclusives and collectible items for players who will visit the Crown Store for their rewards. These tokens include pets, mounts, costumes, and polymorphs.
With these many contents and features for Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Imperial City DLC, ZeniMax Online Studios indeed had put its best foot forward. Players might wait longer for the second expansion. Meanwhile, gamers have to relish their adventures in Imperial City. For console dependents, the game pack will be available for Xbox One on September 15 and PlayStation 4 on September 16.
