Ed Skrein praises "Deadpool" co-actors Ryan Reynolds and TJ Miller for their ability to make sidesplitting ad-libs. The actor hopes that the zingers which will not be chosen will end up in a blooper reel. 20th Century Fox's upcoming superhero movie is scheduled to open in cinemas February next year.
It looks like the live-action movie "Deadpool" is full of humor not only on-screen but behind the camera as well. While promoting his new action film "Transporter: Refueled", Ed Skrein teased that plenty of zingers from his co-actor Ryan Reynolds were made while filming. A notable example of this was the pair's lab scene that was featured in the trailer. As per Comic Book, Skrein's Francis warns Wade that "the one thing that never survives this place is a sense of humor". Wade then sarcastically responds, "We'll see about that, Posh Spice."
The British actor revealed that Reynolds had come up with several punch lines for that scenario. However, "Posh Spice" is the only one that has made it on-screen so far. "I hope that some of the other ones come out. Maybe (the filmmakers) will release a blooper reel with all the other alternatives," he said in an interview with USA Today. "Ryan is such a funny guy and had so many comedic moments. That was just one of them."
Apart from Reynolds, Skrein has also praised T.J. Miller. According to actor, having people like Reynolds and him in the film guarantees that they are going to be riffing. "Especially T.J. He was like an uncontrollable substance," he said. "He made everyone on the set laugh so much, he had everyone in tears." Miller will be playing the role of Weasel, Wade Wilson's loyal sidekick. Skrein on the other hand, will portray the character of Ajax (also known as Francis), who works on the government research facility where Wade was experimented, Outer Places reports.
This is only one of the many things that the fans should look forward to when the film premieres. If Skrein already finds all their performance funny, then surely the ad-libs that will make it on-screen will be more uproarious.
"Deapool" is directed by Tim Miller and is slated to star Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hilderbrand. Confirmed to be Rated-R, it is expected to hit the big screen on February 12, 2016.
