Huawei Mate S just starred the center stage of the 2015 IFA in Germany and it took the event by storm, expected to drag down to the ground luxury smartphones and phablets of Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy lines.
With its first deemed high-end super-sized smartphone, Huawei debuts never-before features and innovation in the mobile industry. Critics tell it has better offerings against Apple's fingerprint sensor and Samsung's curved panel technology.
Display & Design
Mate S sports a 5.5-inch screen with curvaceous metallic back panel. The phone is 2.65 mm thin and 7.2 mm thick making a convenient hold for users.
The phone also boasts simple touch features. Users can enlarge a picture by just pressing it down without having to pinch it. It also allows a knuckle to launch an app or capture screenshots.
Aside from security, the touch innovation enables photo previews, phone call hold and accept, notification deletion-all designed for more convenient one-hand handling.
Fingerprint Sensor
The fingerprint sensor devised by Huawei is the second generation technology, which will enhance recognition speeds of 100 percent from its predecessor Mate 7.
Camera
Mate S' 13 MP main camera has four-color sensor, DSLR-quality image processor, and optical image stabilization. It is designed for versatility and usability as it accommodates both novice and experienced photo enthusiasts.
The device's front shooter moves beyond the softening and morphing ability by putting in an 8 MP camera stunning carrying with it a flash for proper lighting.

Mate S runs with an octa-core processor with eight cores-four are clocked at 1.5 Ghz, the other four are clocked at 2.2 GHz. It houses a 3 GB of RAM capacity and a 2700 mAh battery.
