Chris Pratt, the actor rumored to play the younger titular character in 'Indiana Jones 5', drops an expletive on camera after being asked about his involvement in the new film during a talk show. Producer Frank Marshall admits that there is still a lack of further development for the film.
According to Joe.ie, Pratt was recently asked about the upcoming installment in the action-adventure franchise during an interview in Jimmy Kimmel Live. The actor was reportedly caught unaware when the host suddenly asked, "You're gonna play Indiana Jones next, yes?" Pratt couldn't help but mouth the f-word silently before jokingly replying, "I genuinely don't know... I missed a call the other day, I hope it wasn't (Steven Spielberg)!"
In another article by ComicBook.com, the 36-year old actor reached career highs for his roles as Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and as raptor trainer and expert Owen Gradey in 'Jurassic World'. It was speculated that his recent fame and bankability as an actor would give the classic franchise the mainstream boost it needed. Producer Steven Spielberg was rumored to have expressed interest in the new casting to replace Harrison Ford as the titular Indiana Jones.
There had been various contrasting reports regarding the development of 'Indiana Jones 5' but Frank Marshall decided to put these to rest by admitting that it will happen but not anytime soon, according to Cinema Blend. He said, "We've had no discussions on Indy 5 to date." However, it had been previously reported that the fifth film may be hitting the cinemas some time in 2018.
'Indiana Jones 5' is the newest film in the popular franchise created by George Lucas. It follows the adventures of main protagonist Dr. Henry "Indiana" Jones, a fictional archaeologist and tomb raider who first appeared in the 1989 cinematic release 'Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark'. The franchise's four films grossed a cumulative $1.9 billion worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
