Bungie revealed on its Weekly Update that "Destiny: The Taken King's" newest patch will be available on September 8. This Destiny 2.0 patch will include the Crucible Preview Event that will also come out that same day. This PVP content preview will run for a week for free; and will enable players to get access to new maps and two new game modes.
The "Destiny" 2.0 patch and Crucible Preview Event will both be held on September 8. The Crucible preview will run for a week, which will end on September 14. "Destiny" players will have a glimpse of the new Crucible multiplayer modes and maps coming out with the "Taken King" expansion, mentioned in an Inquisitr report. This new expansion multiplayer content is said to be made available for Playstation and Xbox owners of the shooter.
According to a Gamespot report, The Rift and Mayhem will be the two new game modes that will be showcased in the free Crucible preview. The Rift is basically a neutral capture-the-flag gametype; while in Mayhem, each character's ability changes extremely fast. Both are 6vs6 gametypes .However, the third new mode called Zone Control will not be offered yet during the Crucible Preview Event. Points are earned by holding on to these zones and not by getting kills.
Meanwhile, Polygon reports that once the game's patch goes live, incomplete bounties will be removed - except for in-progress exotic weapon ones, which will be automatically completed. Unfortunately, Eris Morn will not render her own bounties anymore, but Guardians can still earn Crota's Bane reputation by finishing some quests in the Taken King.
The outlet also pointed out that the three new Guardian subclasses will not be accessible during the Crucible event; players have to unlock them in the "Taken King" game itself. In anticipation of the arrival of Oryx in the solar system, the wolves in the Queen's Wrath bounties from House of Wolves will withdraw for good.
Bungie sure is offering a lot of treats for players before the release of "Destiny: The Taken King" on September 15. The preview sure is tempting, and not to mention the "Destiny" 2.0 update. Guardians have to gear up, as the King's Fall Raid is just weeks away as well.
