'A Haunted House 3' actor Marlon Wayans hinted at the possibility of creating a sequel for the comedy series during a recent interview. He is also set to star in another parody film based on the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie that is scheduled to hit theatres in January 2016.
In an interview with Vladtv.com, Wayans revealed that a follow-up for the sequel in the horror parody franchise may be possible. When asked about the third film he replied, "If (the second one) does well, and we can find the right storyline to progress Malcolm's journey and it's organic, then yeah I would do it. But I don't wanna wh*re it out and do them just because. I would like to do two other movies in between, have some time to really think about a great third one and bring the audience something very special and very funny." He added that it was great working with everyone on set who collaborated and contributed their own comedic touch to the series of films.
The 43-year old actor, writer and director often collaborates with his older brother Shawn Wayans on numerous projects and 'A Haunted House 3' won't be his only follow-up. One of the brothers' more popular films to date is the 2004 release 'White Chicks'. An article by Digital Spy revealed that the younger Wayans posted a fake 'White Chicks 2' poster on his Instagram account just recently asking his followers what they thought about a potential sequel.
In the meantime, Marlon Wayans has a new parody movie in the works based on the erotic mainstream hit 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. The comedy, which is scheduled for release on January 29, 2016, is entitled 'Fifty Shades of Black' and filming has reportedly begun, according to 360nobs.com. The upcoming film will feature Wayans as the main character Christian Black and he will be joined by fellow actors Mike Epps, Affion Crockett, Kalli Hawk.
'A Haunted House 3' will be the third installment in the American parody movie series directed by Michael Tiddes. The first film was released in 2013 and grossed $60 million while the second debuted in 2014 and grossed $23 million. Both preceding films were panned widely by critics although they did enjoy considerable earnings at the box office.
