The synopsis for the Season 8 premiere episode of "Castle" has been released and it is said that Kate Beckett will go missing as someone is hunting her. Rick Castle will then be searching for her just as what Beckett did when he went missing in Season 7.
The premiere episode is entitled "XY" and according to International Business Times, the soon-to-be promoted detective Beckett will go missing. Castle will receive a call from a mysterious stranger and it will be the start of heart-racing and dangerous chain of events.
According to the publication, the first two episodes of Season 8 will be centering on this synopsis and it will be alternately telling the story from Castle and Beckett's perspective.
Before Beckett goes missing, Christian Today reported that Beckett and Castle were celebrating for the promotion of the former as the precinct's captain. It was shown in the promo trailer that the two even had a cake and a banner for the party before it turns into a nightmare. Castle then tries to save Beckett but in one of the scenes in the teaser trailer, a giant tarantula was sitting on his face as a form of torture.
Fans are also eager to get the season started as in the promo trailer, a bloody bracelet that bares the word "Always" was seen so it is yet to be known who this bracelet belongs to.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reported that Kelly Rowan will be a guest star in "Castle" Season 8. She will be playing the role of Carla Feller, the dean of a prestigious university. She will be linked to Castle and Beckett as one of the students in the university mysteriously died. She will be appearing in an episode this coming October. Rowan will be acting alongside Season 8 additions Adam Baldwin, Jack Coleman, Toks Olagundoye, and many more.
Kate Beckett will go missing and Rick Castle will be looking for his soon-to-be wife when "Castle" Season 8 kicks off this September 21. Watch it on ABC at 10 P.M.
