The Movie "Hellboy 3" might already in the works. The movie will run as Hellboy being the Beast of the Apocalypse. However, Ron Perlman seems not that enthusiastic about portraying the red skinned demon with one large stone hand again. But if ever he does the core of the story will revolve around the lives of his twin children.
Cinema Blend states that both Hellboy movies had an above average performance in the movie world. The first movie hit theaters on 2004 then the second one on 2008. However, the producers must have been expecting much more in ticket sales than what the Hellboy series actually raked in. Speculations are it was for this reason why the studio is hesitant to shell out the finances to allow Guillermo Del Toro to make the "Hellboy 3" sequel.
Things are quite unclear at the moment if whether or not "Hellboy 3" will have a go. But Ron Perlman talks about the plot if ever it does. Comic Book Resources was able to come across the actor and got a few tidbits about how things will go down for the finale. Perlman says that Guillermo Del Toro's design for the trilogy was to have an end. That Del Torro told him of the "resolve" of the series. That Hellboy will eventually become the "Beast of the Apocalypse" where taking down the human race is his destiny. It is something that must be done. However, Ron Perlman is quoted saying "I really feel as though I'm done with the character. I don't have a burning desire to put that shit on again," but he also nullifies that with another statement where he found it essential to continue and that he would not feel like they're done if he doesn't "finish it."
Comic Book reports that the beginning of "Hellboy3" will probably start where the prequel left off with Liz being pregnant with twins and later on both of them performing parenting duties. The twist and the story would revolve around the twins. One would look like the mum and the other like the dad. The twist is which character would end up being corrupt or angelic. Perlman adds that only Del Torro could know.
If ever "Hellboy 3 will continue in the near future it will be to the delight of both Del Torro and the fans. Hopefully, the under desire of Perlman to portray his role will not be shown in the film. As for the twins, hopefully their characters will be as good as how the other main characters where created.
