Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles subtitled 'Half Shell' finished filming, and will now move on to post-production. New characters are expected to be featured in the upcoming film, including a couple of potential love interests for some of the old characters.
As reported by Master Herald, 'Arrow' star Stephen Amell has joined the cast to play as another vigilante in New York, Casey Jones. In most series, Casey Jones was portrayed as the master of stealth and the love interest of April O'Neill who is being portrayed by Megan Fox.
But aside from April, her cameraman and colleague Vernon Fernwick, played by Will Arnett will reportedly get a new love interest in the person of Victoria's Secret model, Alessandra Ambrosio. The two were reportedly spotted out together in the New York Knicks and LA Clippers game in May but the two insisted that it was for the movie.
According to Cinema Blend, Bebop and Rocksteady are also expected to appear in the upcoming film, portrayed by Gary Anthony Williams and Sheamus, respectively. The characters were portrayed in the comics as Shredder's henchmen, who were transformed into mutated warthog and mutated rhino in order to defeat the ninja turtles.
Although it has not been confirmed yet, WWE champion, CM Punk previously hinted that like the series, Bebop and Rocksteady might also be mutated in the upcoming movie. "I think they end up getting mutated half way through. You didn't hear that from me, though.", CM Punk said.
Shredder is set to come back to fight with the turtles once again. It was also previously reported that Krang's daughter, Kirai may also appear in the upcoming film, and could potentially add a romance arc to the story.
Returning cast also includes Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel Fisher as Michaelangelo, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinte, and William Fichtner as Eric Sacks. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shell will also see the return of Michael Bay as the producer. It is directed by Dave Green, and is set to hit theaters in June 03, 2016.
