Alice Through the Looking Glass News, Spoilers: Posters released at D23 Expo; Alice to do the impossible to save Mad Hatter?

Alice is coming back to Underland in the upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass. Official posters and sneak peek were also released in the latest D23 Expo, which suggests Alice' new mission to save her friend means she will have to do the impossible.

Years after her success in the fight against the Red Queen, Alice is coming back to Underland to save his friend, Mad Hatter. As reported by Cinema Blend, Alice will see Underland being in a very bad state upon her arrival, and see Mad Hatter 'growing darker', and in order to help her friend, Alice approaches, Time.

Time is a creature who is half human, half clock, and it will be Alice' challenge to warn the race against time despite previous warning about the impossibility of winning such game. Alice will reportedly come across the younger version of now grown characters, which means that the sequel might also get a prequel parts to it.

According to Hollywood Life, aside from having to help Mad Hatter with his dilemma, Alice will also have to face and defy the evil plans of the Red Queen. As she once again try to get the throne back from her sister, White Queen.

A poster for the upcoming movie was reportedly released showing Alice in a much colorful dress, all grown up, and the Mad Hatter on his back. Both characters appear to be stepping on clock parts which partly submerged in water.

According to E Online, the film will see the return of Mia Wasikowska in the lead role as Alice, and Johnny Depp as Mad Hatter. A new character is also expected to appear, Zanik Hightopp, Mad Hatter's father, who will portrayed by Rhys Ifans.

Anne Hathaway is also expected to reprise her role as the White Queen, Helena Bonhan Carter as the red Queen, while Sacha Baron Cohen is set to play as Time. Alice Through the Looking Glass will be directed by James Bobin, and written by Linda Woolverton. Tim Burton, who directed the first block buster movie is also on board to produce. It is set to be released in theaters in May 27, 2016.
