The highly anticipated Dark Souls 3 has been set on a vague early 2016 release date but a new leak surfaced online which revealed the exact day next year From Software's titles hit Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms.
Dark Souls 3 exact release date may have been accidentally leaked by an Italian game retailer site indicating on its page that the game will be out on February 2, 2016. However, the said leaked date has not been confirmed or denied by the game developer or publisher Bandai Namco as of yet.
What made it more interesting was an image also appeared and showed the available games around Chinese New Year falling on February 8, 2016. According to Segment Next, the list of games on the image included Dark Souls 3 but what is being questioned is the inclusion of Tom Clancy's The Division confirmed by Ubisoft to release in March.
On the other side, it is believed that February 2 launching sounds plausible to game pundits since it is happening after Christmas rush where releases begin to slow down by then.
Meanwhile, developer From Software recently revealed fresh some gameplay details fresh from PAX Prime 2015. The game's global brand manager Mike Chang talked about plot, dense world and the possible return of characters from predecessor titles in the series, courtesy of New Gamer Nation.
According to Chang, Dark Souls 3 will feature the darkest narrative in the franchise. The game's apocalyptic setting will be seen like "there is almost no hope" inside "a world in ruin." Chang quipped, "It was dark before, it's pretty dark this time."
Moreover, Chang also discussed their team is working on creating the franchise's smartest and most brutal Aritificial Intelligence combatants ever, Design & Trend wrote. Fans can look forward to additional reveals from the Tokyo Game Show 2015 from September 17 to 20. Chang teased that From Software is cooking up some big announcement coming in October.
Dark Souls 3 is the third installment to the game series developed by Bloodborne creator From Software and set to release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms early next year.
