The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has recently launched its two latest models, the R7 Plus and the R7 Lite in Mumbai on Friday. Both devices were uncovered by Oppo's new India CEO, Mike Wang.
According to IB Times, the Oppo R7 Plus comes as a higher-end device than the R7 Lite. The smartphone sports a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and 2.5D Arc-Edge screen. A 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocking speeds at 1.5GHz was said powers the handset. It also comes packed with a 3GB RAM and 32GB memory.
As for the R7 Plus design, the R7 Plus said to provide a first-class feel in hand with its 91 percent pure metal structure tinted with fine zircon sand particles, as reported by DNA. A "violin arc" design that gives the handset an elegant look is reported also included on this.
Furthermore, the R7 Plus also boasts a touch-type fingerprint scanner and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Color OS 2.1. This dual-SIM smartphone delivers a powerful 4100mAh battery along with the VOOC fast charging solution that can offer two hours of talk time with just five minutes charging.
When it comes to its Photography department, a report from Mid-day stated that the latest phablet R7 Plus sports a 13 rear-camera, created on Sony IMX278 sensor and an 8MP front-snapper. Both cameras were notable at the take-off.
On the other hand, other Oppo R7 Lite runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SOC as well. However, it features a faintly under-clocked 1.3GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. The device also arrives with an expandable 16GB and a weaker 2,320mAh battery.
As for more of its specifications, the R7 Lite comes in 5-inch HD display and runs on Color OS 2.1, a newly developed Android lollipop-based operating system. It also has 13-megapixel rear-camera, an 8-megapixel selfie-camera, Forbes India reports. Other information from the mid-day revealed that both devices support a 4G LTE feature and will be available in India via its retail stores.
In India, The OPPO R7 Plus will be offered for Rs 29,990 with gold and silver color variants starting September 10 while the R7 Lite will come at Rs 17,990 with a gold hue variety starting September 25.
