Bobbi Kristina Brown's update continues to escalate after Nick Gordon files motion to dismiss the $10 million wrongful death lawsuit filed by her conservator in June. Gordon's civil lawyers, Bryant Green III and Jonathan M. Broderick filed the court documents at the Fulton County in Georgia on Tuesday, Sept. 8. According to the suit, the claims of Belinda Hargrove are all untrue.
Nick Gordon's legal team points out that the wrongful death lawsuit must be dismissed on different grounds. According to AJC.com, the lawsuit was filed after Bobbi Kristina's death. New claims also say that the allegations listed in the court papers are all baseless for lack of evidence. His camp claimed that the allegations couldn't pursue for it has no police reports and affidavits.
"The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless," Gordon's representatives claimed in a statement in August, according to International Business Times. "Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly. Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most."
The amended lawsuit filed by Hargrove alleges the 26- year-old for giving "toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious" leading to her unconsciousness in Roswell, Georgia on Jan. 31. The suit claims that Gordon intentionally put her face down in a tub full of cold water that caused Bobbi's brain damage. It was also mentioned that he beat her in weeks before the tragic incident.
Radar Online reports that the court documents also include Gordon's detailed transcription of what happened on the night that Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious. It states that someone went to the master's bedroom and found Bobbi unconscious in the bathtub. He tried to revive Bobbi through CPR, but he failed.
All of Hargrove's allegations of assault and battery were denied by his camp. In the wake of the investigation, Gordon remains as a person of interest in Bobbi's death.
