Fans who are waiting for the release of Resident Evil 0 HD, the upcoming remastered version of prequel to the first RE game are treated to two awesome news officially revealed by renowned game developer of the franchise, Capcom, just recently.

Capcom has happily announced that Resident Evil 0 HD will be released as part of the Resident Evil Origins Collection, a physical disc that will be shipped on January 19, 2016 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PS4, and PS3 consoles.

Tech Times reports that the said Origins Collection will contain both the remastered versions of Resident Evil which is the first game of the franchise and Resident Evil 0, a prequel to the first game.

Resident Evil HD has been released by Capcom earlier this year and is notably well-received success by fans. Its success at launch called for HD remaster of the prequel title, Resident Evil 0, as announced earlier by Capcom but without giving details on the exact release date.

These original survival horror adventure games were both recognized to being the best in its genre and of the series, Resident Evil debuted in 1996 while Resident Evil 0 arrived in 2002. The first game follows the story of two special forces agents trapped inside a mansion filled with zombies while Resident Evil 0 features a special forces agent with a convicted former soldier and is set prior to the events of Resident Evil.

Meanwhile, Capcom has also confirmed the brand new Wesker mode for Resident Evil 0 HD, aptly named after the character in the prequel game, Albert Wesker. Techno Buffalo reported that in this new feature, Wesker will play alongside the other protagonist, Rebecca Chambers.

Bloody Disgusting added that the Wesker mode will focus on young Albert Wesker and his struggles. This new mode will allow players to swapco-lead Billy Coen for Wesker so that he and Rebecca Chambers can work together to defeat the undead by conjuring eyebolts made of crimson lightning.

The Resident Evil 0 HD remaster is now officially set to arrive on January 19, 2016 as part of the Resident Evil Origins Collection priced at $39.99 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One releases.
