Just after Rita Ora claimed never dating Zayn Malik, the two were photographed together stepping out and grabbing dinner. Despite surfacing rumors of a possible relationship, the "X Factor" judge says the romantic connection "can't happen."

Singers Rita Ora and Zayn Malik were photographed on a dinner date on September 9, E! News reported. Although Ora just admitted that they are not an item, the Internet world suggested that maybe she's rethinking things out and that perhaps she's now fine with dating the new solo artist.

With no photographs of the two side by side, it seems like the pair has avoided any close contact as they arrived at Koi Restaurant in West Hollywood. But this doesn't mean speculations would immediately conclude that there is no possibility of a boiling relationship between the two.

The 24-year-old singer just had an interview with Capital FM on September 6, wherein she revealed that there is no the possibility of a relationship with Malik, especially recently where things between them got a little awkward. While playing a game, Ora got quiet as her fellow British artist's name was mentioned. And even after she finally got the words to reply on, she commented, "Zayn, he's gorgeous, but I just..." she started before getting silent again."That can't happen. We're on the same management team, too close to home for that. But, no, he's great."

The music artists were seemingly just friends, as they share the same management company. A restaurant source told the Daily Mail UK that they had shared a dinner organized by a member of their management team and were also accompanied by other music artists and staff members.

Ora and Malik's dinner happened just more than a month after the former 1D member and Perrie Edwards decided to go their separate ways, calling off their engagement. On the other hand, Ora was recently linked to Chris Brown, after they delivered their performance of their duet "Body On Me" and were allegedly spotted flirting.

Though many find Ora and Malik cute as a couple, the former stressed that she's just friends with Perrie Edwards' former fiancée.
