Google will not include dark theme feature in the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Google recently decided not to push through with the dark theme feature in the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The software developers did not provide any reason with the omission of such option, but they reassured the public that this is something that they can consider in the future.

Phone Arena asked a request from a Google staff to bring back the dark theme feature and this was the statement of the staff, "Thanks for the suggestion. Our development team has looked into this feature request. This will not be included in the M release. However, this may be considered for future releases." It confirms that the software developers will not be able to produce such option to the upcoming Android 6.0.

In addition, the dark theme option was removed in second and third preview of formerly called Android M. Android Headline noted how users embraced this change during the first preview until Google changed its decision to not proceed with the launch of such option in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

On the other hand, customization is one of the most interesting features that Android offers. According to the related report, it is going to be a huge sell for Google if the dark theme feature will push through, but the firm may have better plans in the future.

As to speak with the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Tech Advisor said that it can possibly be released on September 29 via OTA. Other features shall include App Permissions, Web Experience, App Links, Mobile Payments, Fingerprint Support and Power & Charging. The report added that Nexus series such as 6, 9, 5, and 7 will be first handsets to receive the Android software update.

The details from published reports entail better plans for Google's marketing strategy of not proceeding with the dark theme option. Nevertheless, the company did not yet provide any formal statement regarding its decision.
