'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' leading man Taron Egerton wants more action for Mark Strong's character Merlin in the next chapter of the series. He played the young spy-in-training Gary "Eggsy" Unwin in the first film. He also revealed that he wants to take part in a Marvel project as a young Wolverine.

According to BT.com, the 25-year old admitted that he already has some ideas of his own for the follow-up film although he hasn't been officially told of a sequel in the works. He said that he wants to see the continuation of his character's story - more conflicts and obstacles for Eggsy to overcome. He added, "The relationship between Merlin (Mark Strong) and Eggsy is one I'd like to see taken further. There's a bit of banter between them and I think that's something you could push further."

Egerton admitted during an interview with MTV News that he hasn't been approached yet regarding a possible return for Eggsy but remained excited nevertheless. He talked about the possible rumor that pointed to the United States as a possible setting but wasn't all for it since he hoped the story to keep its uniquely British identity. He also revealed that one of his favorite scenes from the first 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' film was the challenging underwater sequences for which he found very satisfying.

In another article by Movie Web, it was reported that Egerton joked with 'Eddie the Eagle' co-star Hugh Jackman about replacing him as the popular Wolverine in the X-Men franchise. The young actor revealed that he was with Jackman the day he announced his departure from the mutant role and jested that he would love to have a go at the role himself.

It was also rumored that despite his campaign to play Wolverine, he was also previously tagged to play a young Cyclops in 'X-Men: Apocalypse' before Tye Sheridan was confirmed for the role.

'Kingsman: The Secret Service 2' is a British spy-action comedy film that is currently under development. The first film in the series was both a critical and box office success earning $403 million against an $81 million budget, according to Box Office Mojo. The series is based on the comic book 'The Secret Service' created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar that follows the adventures of a super spy recruiting his nephew to a secret service agency.
