After the whole embarrassment and the drama of the Deflategate scandal, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen allegedly claimed to have saved their marriage. And now, the pair is seemingly back to the old "crazy in love" couple everybody knew.
Following Brady's name being tarnished in a scandal over whether his team had purposely deflated footballs during the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, his wife of six years was seemingly nowhere in sight for months to defend her husband from the scandal.
A source close to the couple even revealed on E! News, "They had a very rough few months and the Deflategate scandal took its toll on their marriage. Tom was very difficult to be around and withdrawn. Gisele was supportive, but she also was frustrated with his stress level and anger. She felt like he was taking things out on her and not being fair."
And because Brady's still struggling with the issue, it has been affecting him and her wife for the past months. As revealed by Us Weekly, the 35-year-old model threatened to divorce the athlete in the middle of the scandal. "Tom's become very nasty and irritable and started acting out on her," a source admitted. The source also added, "Things are very tense right now. This could be the end of them."
Amidst the divorce rumors and Deflategate scandal, the athlete took the opportunity to prove to his wife that he still very in love with her. In fact, just a week ago, the pair went on a PDA-filled date to a Boston-area cinema. A day after, Brady had an interview with Boston's WEEI 93.7 FM and claimed that they're having a time out from rumors. "We're in a great place, I'll just say that," said Brady. He also expressed that he's a lucky man for having Bündchen as his biggest supporter ever and that he's blessed to have a great relationship with her.
For now, the married couple is "living their life, and they're doing great," a source confessed to People. The source also continued by saying, "She's being a supportive wife. Just like anybody whose husband would be going through this."
Finally to share her part that their relationship is going strong amid the rumors, Bündchen reportedly posted an Instagram photo on Tuesday of her son holding a heart-shaped leaf. "More love please," the Brazilian beauty captioned the photo.
