"Xenoblade Chronicles X" will not only have a Western release, but its newest downloadable content will be available for free in the territory as well. The four-character DLC costs ¥500/$4 each in Japan. The expert engineer Lynlee will be named anew.
As "Xenoblade Chronicles X" is about to be released, another set of good news were revealed for those awaiting its Western release. The 4-character DLC, a paid additional content in Japan, will be available for free in the Western markets, according to Gaming Bolt. This expansion presents new recruitable characters in the game. Lynlee was also modified for its Western counterpart, making her two years older compared to her original age of 13.
Another notable announcement, Prima has revealed plans for "Xenoblade Chronicles X"'s strategy guides. The standard and hardcover collector's edition will be available at the game's launch.
Meanwhile, Axana, Boze, HB, and Yelve will be the four new characters in "Xenoblade Chronicles X", reported in Siliconera. The only female in the group is Axana; the veteran, bald man is Boze; the dude with the glasses would be HB; and the blonde with a tattoo on his face would be Yelve. They each possess two uncommon Special Arts and blueprints. They only become playable after finishing the three quests tied to them. "Xenoblade Chronicles X" will now have a total of 16 playable characters available for gamers to choose from upon the game's release on December 4, without paying any additional amount.
On another note, WCCF Tech said that the names of the four playable characters in "Xenoblade Chronicles X" might undergo some changes as well, to confine with Western audiences. Quest-based DLC is on the prospects as well, although there is no information or announcement about this yet. The action role-playing video game had been launched on April 29 and had been a big hit in Japan.
As to altering the names of the characters in "Xenoblade Chronicles X", according to some sources, the sassy engineer Lynlee has now become Lin Lee; and perhaps the change to her age from 13 to 15 was decided upon by the local team of Nintendo, the Treehouse. And Lynlee has wearable bikinis and swimsuits; although it's still to be determined whether or not it would be a controversy upon its release in North America and Europe.
