On their latest show "FABLife", hosts Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen discussed how the fertility topic can be hurtful at times. Charged with emotions, these women shared their personal struggles with fertility issues.
Tyra and Chrissy were emotional during the discussion on FABLife from a report by E Online. When Teigen and her husband John Legend started a relationship, the idea of having their kids is on everyone's mind. However, the supermodel explained how sensitive it is to ask a woman who is having a hard time getting pregnant.
"I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble," Chrissy admitted while adding that they have consulted fertility doctors. "We would have kids five, six years ago if it'd happened, but my gosh, it's been a process!"
Teigen continued, "So, anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm like, 'One day, you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling, and it's going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!'"
Prior to this revelation, Dailymail said that Chrissy Teigen has plans on expanding their family in the soonest time possible. "I don't think I would stop having kids until I can no longer have them. My minimum is four, which is most people's absolute maximum." she added.
If there's a woman who can relate to Chrissy was Tyra Banks who was sitting beside her during the said show. Banks just kept the conversation going as she tells the audience, "I am so tired of seeing on my social media, 'Why don't you have kids? Why don't you have kids?' You don't know. You don't know what I'm going through."
Tyra Banks may have done it all - from being a supermodel to becoming a CEO of her own company, but she still want to add one important role which is being a mom. A report from Today reveals Banks' struggle on achieving this role.
This revelation by Chrissy Teigen and Tyra Banks shows how serious the fertility issues are. Their experiences may give comfort to women who also share the same sentiments. Morevoer, their struggles can also be a eye-opener about the real situation of women with fertility problem.
