Actor Sean Gunn has confirmed his return as Kraglin in the long-awaited "Guardians of the Galaxy 2." Director James Gunn, on the other hand, teased fans with some minor tidbits about the upcoming sequel.
In an interview with The Nerdist, Gunn proudly announced his character's addition to the forthcoming film. It is known that Kraglin is the very first mate of Yondu, one of the Ravagers.
"I am very proud to say that I will be returning as Kraglin, the first mate of Yondu, one of the Ravagers."
In the first film, Kraglin is considered as one of the dynamic characters alongside Peter Quill and Yondo. The character's role is believed to balance the serious elements of the movie by way of unleashing humor in some scenes, like giggling while Yondu had his prattle talk about the Broker's frantic petitions.
Cinema Blend reported that Gunn's character is rumored to perform two roles in "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" - the first being a fellow Ravager, while the second is following Yondu's orders.
Meanwhile, according to a Flickering Myth artice released last month, director James Gunn teased fans with some minor tidbits about the upcoming sequel during a Q&A he conducted in his Facebook page. Among the details revealed include Hulk's "zero chance" in appearing in the film and that Chris Patt's Peter Quill will be the only human character. This also rules out the possibility of a Captain Marvel cameo.
The sequel to last year's comic superhero ensemble will reunite Guardians stars Chris Patt, Zoe Zaldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel, along with Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn.
"Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" is definitely another interesting movie to look forward to, especially with the minor tidbits that director James Gunn teased as well as the confirmed return of Sean Gunn as Kraglin. The sequel will hit the cinemas on April 28 2017 in the UK and on May 5, 2017 in the United States.
