Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger announced their split some weeks back after two years of being together. Sources revealed that the ex-couple had been odds with each other for quite some time. They were not on the same page and the spark between them died down.
According to E! News, Avril is doing well after her divorce announcement. One insider claimed that it took some time for her to think how she'll break the news in public. Since it has been in the works for a while, and the "Complicated" singer has been reportedly coping up well with her new single life.
"Avril is still sick, so she's not working much-just here and there," a source said. "It's been a tough year. But these days, she's living in L.A. and has a very close, supportive group of friends. She's focused on her recovery but she knows it's going to take time."
After revealing their separation, it is predicted that it's going to be harder for Avril after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease in October. In an interview with KIIS FM's Australian radio show, Kyle & Jackie O, Chad said during the time that he was relieved that his ex-wife opened up about her health condition to put a halt on swirling divorce rumors, Daily Mail reports. It was also his former partner's request that he won't tell anything about it.
"I'm like, OK, the wife has come out and said this, and now I don't have to keep hiding," Chad said. "With everyone going 'What's wrong with your wife? What's wrong with your wife?' and me just going, Ah, she's gonna be fine."
Avril and Chad's separation had been a shock for everyone. In Fact, they recently purchased $5.4million new French-style property in Los Angeles in July amidst break up rumors. The ex-couple spent time living in their native Canada after marrying in July 2013.
In May, a month after the 30-year-old "Hello Kitty" singer admitted to public her Lyme disease, Avril and Chad were spotted handholding in Miami beach. The former couple looked besotted as they didn't leave each other hand while walking at the beach. It was the first time they were seen together in public since last year, OK! Magazine reports.
Some people say that they started their romance in one album, but that fire between them fizzled out so fast. Avril and Chad haven't given their interview yet on their recent break up. Do you think the two have a chance to get back together?
