"Man of Steel 2" Movie Update: To include three Superman characters; Screenwriter Max Landis' has some interesting ideas

By

Not much has been said on what the "Man of Steel 2" could offer, but rumor has it that the sequel will most likely include three Superman characters - Brainiac, Supergirl, and Bizarro. Max Landis, on the other hand, has some interesting ideas for the next "Man of Steel" installment.

Although there's yet to be an official confirmation that the sequel is actually happening, there's at least a glimpse of what the story might have to offer. Cinema Blend reported that both Zack Snyder and Daid Goyer gave a pitch to Warner Bros. about the possible storyline of "Man of Steel 2."

The status of the follow-up movie is certainly vague, but Heroic Hollywood also claimed to have the inside scoop on three characters that are said to be appearing the said sequel. The publication even suggested what role each character will have.

"Yesterday I reported that the Man of Steel sequel isn't on permanent hold, George Miller MAY still take a crack at it, the film will happen in the next few years, and Braniac will most likely be the villain," Heroic Hollywood Editor-in-Chief Umberto Gonzalez wrote.

Brainiac is an alien supercomputer who has become one of Superman's greatest arch-nemesis. But, interestingly enough, the villain is not after Clark Kent; instead, he's going for Kara Zor-El - the Supergirl.

Before the release of the "Man of Steel," David Goyer scripted Kara Zor-El as the most promising daughter of the House of El. The idea is to introduce the character in the sequel and will focus as much as on Superman.

Rounding up the three-rumored Superman characters is Bizzaro, a Superman clone reportedly created by Brainiac. Bizarro's roots don't really seem to see Brainiac having a hand in his creation, though.

The American screenwriter Mark Landis (American Ultra, Chronicle), however, has a different perspective towards "Man of Steel 2." He wants to characterize Lex Luthor as "an evil Elon Musk," include multiple heroes, and how the world and Clark dealt with the aftermath of Superman's fight with Zod in Metropolis.

According to EW, Landis' idea could perhaps be best if his whole movie would move from the wanton destruction of "Man of Steel" to a Superman that would focus on saving lives in a big battle.

What are your thoughts about the three Superman characters? Do you think that Max Landis' ideas would somehow be worthwhile for "Man of Steel 2"? Let us know in the comments section below!
