While the developer preview of Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been made available to some Google Nexus devices only, reports now have circulated that Nexus 10, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 7 (2012), and Nexus 4 could possibly be supported by Google to receive the latest update.
Google is now coming to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow's official over-the-air release slated later this month. The search giant is now on the final stretch of developer preview for the Marshmallow update and is expected to hit Nexus 10, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 7 (2012), and Nexus 4 handsets.
Last month, Google used Nexus 5 (2013), Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Players to test run the Android 6.0 software. Now on its third and final preview, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to debut on devices fresh out of the box, including the rumored LG G4 Pro, HTC One A9, Sony Xperia M5, LG-Google Nexus 5X (Nexus 5 2015) and Huawei-Google Nexus 6P (Nexus 6 2015).
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow was first revealed last May at the I/O 2015 event after the Android M naming game in the mobile tech industry. Marshmallow was called Android M in its promo.
As per developer preview, Android 6.0 will bring in custom Chrome tabs, app links, better app permissions and status bar, improved app drawer, battery saver, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C support, among others.
A battery saver called Doze is the new addition to Android expected to manage wisely battery usage of a device. Doze automatically turns on whenever necessary. It will terminate apps running in the background and idle ones whenever unintentionally opened.

The app drawer now has a search bar to easily locate apps, games, files, etc. stored in the phone and launch them. The scroll bar is also back on the drawer.
App links will enable users to be redirected to a link's site by just clicking it. Custom Chrome tabs will track site visits. It also has more options for color, themes, fonts, and more.
If Nexus 5 (2013), Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Players have not been updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow yet, here's a quick guide.
1. Download the ADB tools.
2. Unpack the zip file.
3. Turn into fastboot mode.
4. Double click "flash-all.bat" file.
Note that the factory image of Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player is different from one another. Make sure as well that the extracted ADB tools and factory image are in the same folder.
To begin installation, the device should be in fastboot mode by pressing long the power button and volume down button at the same time. After the reboot, the device shall automatically reboot. Do not forget to back up important files and charge up the battery up to 50%.
