'Hotel Transylvania 2' released exclusive clips that offered a first look at Mavis' BMX skills as well as Griffin the Invisible Man's girlfriend. The first film also topped the newly published and most recent Digital Audience Ratings (DAR) ahead of its official release date.
A clip showing - hinting - at Griffin the Invisible Man's new girlfriend was posted by Comic Book Resources. The scene seemed to be from a monster wedding and all Dracula's friends were showing off their respective dates.
Another article by Movie News Guide also posted an exclusive clip that showed Dracula's daughter Mavis doing stunts on her BMX bike while she and Jonathan were visiting a skate park. The sequel's plot involves Dracula trying to teach his half-human/half-vampire grandson how to act like a true vampire to dissuade Mavis and Jonathan from moving out of their home in Hotel Transylvania to find one more suitable for their young family.
Several of the first film's cast have returned including Adam Sandler as Dracula, Andy Samberg as the human Jonathan, Selena Gomez as teenage vampire Mavis, Asher Blinkoff as Jonathan and Mavis hybrid son, Kevin James as Frank/Frankenstein, Steve Buscemi as Wayne the werewolf, and David Spade as Griffin the Invisible Man. New additions to the cast include Keegan-Michael Key as Murray the mummy (as a replacement for CeeLo Green) and multi-award winning filmmaker, actor, and composer Mel Brooks.
The second film in the widely popular animated series may not be released in cinemas yet but it seems it is already making rounds and topping charts online. Variety published the results of its weekly ListenFirst Digital Audience Ratings (DAR) for Film and it revealed 'Hotel Transylvania' on the no. 1 spot. The DAR is a measurement of audience engagement online through several major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, Youtube, Wikipedia, and Tumblr.
