Alice is set for another round of heart-stopping action in the upcoming Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Plot synopsis was recently revealed as well as the roster of the cast promising to feature new and old characters.
As reported by IGN, filming for the franchise's final instalment is currently underway in South Africa, with Johannesburg and Cape Town part of the locations. The film's plot synopsis was also released for the film suggesting that Alice is set to return to the city where everything started.
In the upcoming film, Alice is set to fight with the last remnants of humanity in a race against time to stop the evil Umbrella Corporation from totally wiping out all that's left of humanity. "humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C.
As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity's final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began - Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.", part of the synopsis read as reported by Games Radar.
As reported by Cinemablend, Milla Jovovich is set to return to reprise her role as the zombie-slaying Alice, and she will be joined by Ali Larter who is set to return as Claire Redfield along with Shawn Roberts who plays the evil Albert Wesker is also back, although, he will now switch sides and become an ally after being repelled from the Umbrella Corporation.
Iain Glenn who plays Jorah Mormont in HBO's The Game of Thrones is also on board along with Orange is the New Black's Ruby Rose, Eoine Macken, and William Levy in currently undisclosed roles.Paul W.S. Anderson is also back to write and direct Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. It is set to be produced by Jeremy Bolt, Robert Kulzer, and Samuel Hadida.
Look for Resident Evil The Final Chapter in theaters in January 27, 2017.
