'Warcraft' Movie Updates: Universal deemed franchise as 'problem movie'; Duncan Jones confident about his film

The official release of the movie adaptation of the hit online role-playing game, "World of Warcraft", is less than a year from now. Duncan Jones, the movie director, has recently revealed that he is confident about his upcoming film.

According to some reports, "Warcraft" movie has been judged as early as the official trailers have been released. The Hollywood Reporter mentioned that the Universal Studios deemed the film as a "problem movie". It was believed that the movie used up to nine-figure range budget which implies that the film needs to earn a lot of money to recover the expenses.

Collider insisted that the responses were mainly disturbed with the risk or reward ratios of the franchise film. The investment was considered too tricky on an R-rated film so, Universal plans to drop the rating down to PG-13. Moreover, with all the rating issues, Universal has meant to make smart, broad, reasonable choices with the movie budget.

However, Duncan Jones is confident that the movie will earn once it hits the theaters next year. On his Twitter Feed post, he insisted that the studio has shown some confidence when they reserved the same release date slot with Jurassic World.

"I wouldn't worry about that. Universal moved us to the same date as Jurassic World, so we must have done something right!" he shared.

Recently, Jurassic World earned a total of $1.6 billion upon its release this year. With that, Jones is confident that his upcoming film will also earn once it will be out. The issue does not merely cover the single-property shakeup but it seems like there is a deeper reason for that.

Moreover, the "problem movie" does not only contain the "Warcraft" movie but, several movies are also included in the list like the "Crimson Peak". Do you think the movie will be a hit when it will be out on June 10, 2016?
