Singer Blake Shelton finally broke his silence in an interview after the sudden split and divorce from his wife of 4 years, Miranda Lambert. The 39-year-old TV personality recently opened up on "The Bobby Bones Show" regarding his straight forward and quick divorce they went through over the summer.
According to a report from US Magazine, Blake Shelton appeared on "The Bobby Bones Show" last September 23rd. It was during the interview that the singer broke his silence on his sudden divorce with Miranda Lambert, who he confirmed he's still 'buddies' with.
In the interview Blake stated that the divorce was an easy and quick process as he and Miranda already had a prenuptial agreement. "In Oklahoma, it happens so fast," the judge of "The Voice" stated. "Like, Miranda and I didn't have any kids, and we had a prenuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or 10-day waiting period until it's over."
The 39-year-old then explained how he and his ex-wife decided to wait until their divorce was over with before making the announcement. It was also later on found out that the couple divided up their assets fairly; Miranda got the couple's Nashville property, while Blake kept his Oklahoma ranch.
In a report from Extra TV, sources have claimed Blake is currently focusing on his self and career. Apparently the country singer is open to dating again and meeting new people; however, the chances of a new relationship in the near future is unlikely.
TMZ also reported on the dramatic weight loss the singer has accomplished since his divorce. Despite the noticeable weight Blake lost, the celebrity admitted he never intended on losing it, and didn't actively diet or work out. He later on added that he believes the drastic change was due to the stress during the onset of the divorce.
With the divorce over and the former coupe remaining friends, both Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are slowly moving on and adjusting to their new lifestyle. Blake has been keeping himself busy recently and has a new album "Reloaded: 20 #1 Hits" coming out on October 23.
