Samsung is now being rumored of currently working on a "major" software update, the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow for its Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note5 that already run on Android Lollipop.

Sam Mobile reports that the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note5 are included in the list of devices to receive the Android Marshmallow. Therefore, that site says that these devices are highly anticipated to receive the latest update. In addition, the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow could be released to the Galaxy Note 4, too. However, it's still uncertain when the Note 4 will get the upgrade.

The latest Operating System Android 6.0 Marshmallow is considered as the solid completion of the former Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, that is still being utilized by Samsung until now. Samsung appears to retain some of its handsets within the care of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, even if it is being rumored of having the pending case of a new OS dubbed as Android Marshmallow, Latinos Post wrote.

International Business Times reports that on September 29, Google is expected to finally unveil its long-awaited Operating System Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The new Android Marshmallow update looks to be revealed along with the next duplications of the Nexus handsets called LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. For the meantime, a new report claims that a lot of Android OEMs, including Samsung, are looking forward to the latest OS launch to plan firmware updates for their own devices.

The Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note5 are the devices from Samsung that run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Thus, this fact gives more credibility that the aforementioned handsets will likely receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

If the rumors are to be believed then the most awaited Android Marshmallow will be the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note5 bigger update to receive than the usual.
