Last month, the South Korean smartphone giant has unveiled its new Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+. Now, the company is claimed to be placing all its effort for the upcoming two versions of Samsung Galaxy S7 dubbed as Hero and Hero2.
Pocket-lint reports that Samsung Galaxy S7 will be bigger than its predecessor Galaxy S6. It is said to come in 5.7-inch screen and could also be built from a different kind of metal which is a magnesium-based alloy.
In addition, the upcoming Galaxy S7 is being claimed for arriving as a foldable phone or a handset that might feature a curved screen. A trademark filing further proposed that Samsung is emerging a strong display technology that is called Turtle Glass that will serve as a replacement for Corning's Gorilla Glass 3. Nevertheless, none of that is allegedly set in stone so far.
A separate benchmark on Geekbench said to show the two variants of the Galaxy S7. One of these delivers a 3 GB of RAM and another LTE version with 4 GB of RAM. Both of these unidentified devices bear the Codename Lucky.
Though the Galaxy S7 was told to bear a Codename Project Lucky internally, it is said that the company refers to these devices as Hero and Hero2. The alleged Galaxy S7 is projected to be available in two versions, one that is powered by an Exynos 8890 processor and the other with the Snapdragon 820 SoC., Sam Mobile wrote.
A report from Phandroid states that Samsung is still testing Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 inside the Samsung Galaxy S7, and things are reported looking pretty good. The 820-B vs the previous 820-A revision that popped up in benchmarks is considered as the new prototype that utilizes an updated version of the Snapdragon 820.
It is stated that Benchmarks reveal that the aforementioned prototype said to offer a performance that is even better than before, with 1.38x improvement in single-threaded integer and 1.77x improvement in fluctuating point operations.
Since the Galaxy S6 was launched at MWC 2015 and the Galaxy S5 at MWC 2014. It is predicted that the forthcoming Galaxy S7 will also release during MWC 2016 in February 2016. If that will happen, then the awaited flagship could be expected to enter the market toward the end of March or early April.
