Addams Family Reboot happening Christina Ricci fitting as Morticia in a new fan-made photo

It's been 23 years since the creepy but at the same time adorable family of Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley, and Wednesday hit the big screens. However, a photo that was recently spread online has spawned rumors about a potential Addams Family Reboot.

A photo of Christina Ricci as Morticia Addams recently got almost everybody talking about how she perfectly fits the role. Ricci previously played the role of the little girl Wednesday in the previous films specifically, 'The Addams Family' in 1991, and once again in 'The Addams Family Values' in 1993.

But according to Metro, the photo was merely created by a Tumblr user. It was in fact from one of the promotional photos of Anjelica Houston as Morticia in the previous film and was altered through the use of Photoshop.

No deals or talks about the possible reboot is currently in place but as reported by E Online, Ricci would certainly be fitting to play the role of the mother from the daughter role she played two decades ago. The trade also cited possible actors who could play as some of the characters if the idea gets pushed through. It cited Lorde as a possible Wednesday Addams, Steve Buscemi as Gomez, Jonah Hill as Pugsley, John Kerry as Lurch, Vin Diesel as Uncle Fester, and Helena Bonham Carter as Grandmama.

Also, as reported by Best Horror Movies, even though reboots and remakes do not generally earn good remarks these days, the possible reboot is not entirely impossible citing Neill Blomkamp's concept art as his ticket to getting the next installment of the franchise.

In the previous film, Gomez was played by Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester, Jimmy Workman as Pugsley, Carol Kane as Grandmama, Carel Struycken as Lurch, and Joan Cusack as Debbie Jellinsky.

No official reports are released for the possible Addams Family Reboot for now, but keep posted if the idea gets pushed through.
