Vin Diesel is set to slaughter witches in the upcoming The Last Witch Hunter. A new poster was released for the film as well as a new trailer that provides a glimpse at the gigantic and vicious creatures he is about to face.
As reported by Flickering Myth, a new poster was recently revealed for the upcoming film and it shows a black and white photo of Diesel as Kaulder with the Mohawk hair and beard all over his face. The red stain which resembles a splatter of blood can be found on the right side of his face.
Aside from that, Games Radar also reported that a new trailer was released which begins with Kaulder kissing the stomach of his pregnant wife while Rose Leslie's Chloe tries to wake him up. The trailer also shows Kaulder fighting witches with the help of Chloe and Dolan Thirty-Seven played by Elijah Wood, and his fight in the dream world against the Queen Witch whose desire is to destroy humanity upon her return.
According to Den of Geek, the film will center on Kaulder, one of the best witch hunters in the world who has slain the Queen Witch ages ago. But before her demise, the Queen Witch cursed him with her immortality which became the reason why he couldn't be reunited with the people he loves in the afterlife.
After so many years, the Queen Witch has returned and is set to destroy all of humanity. It is now in the hands of Kaulder to stop the evil resurrected witch in a fight that will determine the survival of the human race.
Plans for a sequel is reportedly in the works, however, it would be the performance of The Last Witch Hunter that will determine its fate. The film is directed by Breck Eisner, and written by Cory Goodman, Matt Sazama, and Burk Sharpless. It is set to hit theaters in October 23.
