Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P is reported to debut the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. According to a Canadian mobile carrier, Google's latest flagship smartphones are on October 5, 2015 as opposed to the software version's previous release slate later this month.
Telus, a mobile carrier in Canada, has revealed in its support page that the LG-made Nexus 5X (Nexus 5 2015) and the Huawei-made Nexus 6P (Nexus 6 2015) are bound to release out of the box with Android M running as software. Although it was previously announced that the search giant might be releasing the Marshmallow update later this month, most likely on September 29, new reports told that the announcement will happen this 29th while formal release will be on the 5th of October.
As per Google tradition, the billion-dollar company distributes new versions of Android software to older devices shortly after the announcement. However, Telus underscored that the update's rollout date is subject to changes.
LG's Nexus 5X and Huawei's Nexus 6P were previously reported to be announced by Google on September 29 while its release should come after in not more than a month.
In 2014, Android 5.0 Lollipop came mid of November, a month after the Nexus 6 was announced. According to a report, Google is on track of releasing its new smartphones and Android 6.0 Marshmallow together since the update is more of a system performance upgrade, plus new features.
As per developer preview, Android 6.0 will bring in custom Chrome tabs, app links, better app permissions and status bar, improved app drawer, battery saver, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C support, among others.
A battery saver called Doze is the new addition to Android expected to manage wisely battery usage of a device. Doze automatically turns on whenever necessary. It will terminate apps running in the background and idle ones whenever unintentionally opened.

The app drawer now has a search bar to easily locate apps, games, files, etc. stored in the phone and launch them. The scroll bar is also back on the drawer.
App links will enable users to be redirected to a link's site by just clicking it. Custom Chrome tabs will track site visits. It also has more options for color, themes, fonts, and more.
