‘Supernatural’ Season 11 Cast Updates: Actors signed to play Sam's friend from the past and a deadly seductress

By

As any loyal fan of the hit CW show "Supernatural" would know, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki), as a kid, did not fit in with his family's "hunting" business. He was left out of it by his elder brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) and their dad John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Sam was often left alone in motel rooms waiting for them to return from a hunt.

He entertained himself while waiting by creating an imaginary friend. Yibada reports that the imaginary friend's name is Sully and he has come back because he needs Sam' help. Nate Torrence has been cast to play Sully.

According to Variety, Torrence is scheduled to appear in episode 8 of Season 11 titled "Just My Imagination". The storyline will be both in flashback (when Sully was created by Sam as a kid) and the present time. What Sully's problem is that he needs grown-up Sam's help with is still undisclosed as of this time. Incidentally, the episode will be directed by a series alum, Richard Speight Jr.

In the upcoming season, Dean and Sam will be dealing with an entity they have never encountered before called The Darkness. It is known to wreak havoc like no other. Christian Post reports that it was the brothers themselves who released it after the Mark of Cain was removed from Dean's arm in the Season 10 finale.

The Darkness is rumored to be a femme fatale and it will have a physical form known as the seductress Amara. Actress Emily Swallow has been cast as the seductive and sinister character. Swallow was grateful for the support of the show's fans with her recent casting.

"Yowza! Thanks for the warm welcome, #SPNFamily! Very excited to dive in," she posted on Twitter.
