Since the announcement of a sequel franchise for James Cameron's "Avatar", different rumors and speculation has filled the air. Instead of answering the rumors, the crew remained silent about it. But, recently, the film producer Jon Landau teased the fans with an artwork photo of "Avatar 2".

On Sunday, Jon Landau uploaded a photo on his Twitter account captioned with "Avatar 2". The artwork was a rough face drawing of a female avatar. And later on that day, he shared another photo asking the fans to have more patience waiting until the sequel film comes out. "Please fans be patient its going to be worth your while," he captioned.

According to the International Business Times, "Avatar 2" will focus on new creatures, underwater terrain and the ecosystem of Pandora. The theme will revolve around a prison. It was also reported that Cameron and his team were penning three films at the same time. Meaning, they will be doing all the designs of the creatures and environments.

In an article on DNA Analysis, it was reported a few months ago that Cameron will be having two characters in the first film back to the sequel movie. Zoe Saldana who played the role of Neytiri, the Na'vi daughter of the leader of the Omaticaya, will be reprising her role. Aside from her, Sigourney Weaver as Dr. Grace Augustine will also return.

Although the storyline has not been announced yet, fans are looking forward to witnessing the sequel movie of the mega blockbuster hit Avatar after six years. Moreover, sources say that Dr. Augustine will likely be back with her new avatar since she died in the first film.

In 2009, "Avatar" earned a total of $280 million becoming the highest grossing movie of all time in replacement of "Titanic". With the spectacular cinematography and beyond imagination, people around the world have found the movie fascinatingly beautiful.

20th Century Fox's "Avatar 2" will be out on December 2017 which will be followed by "Avatar 3" in 2018 and "Avatar 4" in 2019. So, fans do really need to lengthen their patience more just as what Landau posted on his social media account.
