Former Apple retailer Ron Johnson announced that his start-up company Enjoy will dispatch people to deliver the newest iPhones to user's homes. Customers can expect their iPhones to come in less than four hours, brought with white-glove service by trained experts.
According to Venture Beat, Ron Johnson plans to "revolutionize customer service in the technology retail market" with his start-up e-commerce site, Enjoy. Johnson states that his company's secret weapon will be people.
Johnson said that Enjoy's product is actually a person. "You might order a GoPro camera, but our product is a person who delivers an amazing experience." Enjoy employees are trained experts who enjoy a flexible schedule and other benefits to help them perform best at work.
Forbes reported that Johnson will be investing on employees to work on the company's next goal: to deliver the latest iPhones to consumers' homes in under four hours. He said that Enjoy can give customers their iPhones only hours after purchase without the hassle of waiting in line to order. Once the iPhones hit the market, Johnson's team is ready for deployment.
Trained experts from Enjoy will personally deliver the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus to customers, showing them how the device is set-up, what its features are, and how they work. Enjoy's partnership with AT&T will bring this free white-glove service to the homes of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus consumers.
Johnson said that changing the place of conducting customer service changes the game. "For example, if I show up in your home to deliver your iPhone, I can do everything a store can do - transfer the contacts, activate the phone. But because I don't have to be in a hurry, I can explore all the great new features of the software," he stated. "How do I use 3D Touch with my favorite apps? How do I set up Apple Pay? Is my new phone connected to my other devices?"
Johnson shared the story of how he founded Enjoy in a report by Re/code. The startup was established this spring in San Francisco and New York City. Enjoy focuses on selling various tech gadgets and offering free delivery service through its partners like AT&T in just four hours after order.
Enjoy keeps growing its customers who are likely to be attracted by the store's convenience. The startup offers its clients both product and service in the same day. Enjoy sells different devices like DJI Robotics drone, GoPro cameras, and Boosted skateboards.
