The Motorola Moto X Force is tipped to launch on October 29 via Verizon and Moto Maker. Rumors suggest the device will have a shatterproof glass screen.
According to Digit, Phandroid said that Motorola's next flagship Motorola Moto X Force will likely be announced on October 15 and will hit US stores on October 29. Also known as Moto Droid Turbo 2, the Moto X Force will be available through Verizon and Moto Maker.
If rumors are true, Droid Turbo 2 will be the first among the Droid series to be available in Moto Maker, where users can personalize their phones. Verizon provides its customers a one-time two-year warranty to change their handset's design without charge.
The date of release is still unconfirmed and is subject to change. Many believe that October will be the unveiling month of Moto X Force since the original Turbo phone also launched on this month last year.
Another rumor increasing the hype for Moto X Force codenamed Bounce is that it will have a shatterproof glass screen as per Android Pit. Render images posted on Twitter by user @upleaks showed the handset's hardware build believed to be unbreakable combined with high screen resolution.
The leaked Twitter images showed that Moto X Force has a similar back design to Moto X Play. @upleaks claimed in another tweet that Moto X Force would be released outside US in December.
International Business Times reported that Moto X Force will sport a 5.4" QHD display with same resolution as that of its predecessor. It will carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB RAM. It is expected to be equipped with a 21MP rear camera just like the Sony Xperia handsets.
It is not sure if Moto X Force has microSD card slots. It may come in two variants based on internal memory, a 32GB variant or a 64GB model. A 3,760 mAh battery is believed to power the device for a longer period of time than most phones.
@upleaks further stated that Moto X Force can be purchased for $600. The device is expected to go on sale on December this year.
