The next generation smartphones of Microsoft Corporation will be released on October 6. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are believed to be flagship offerings which will be sold for affordable prices. The company's upcoming device will run in the latest Windows OS.
According to IBTimes, a Spanish e-tailer provided the price for the newest flagships of Microsoft. The Microsoft Lumia 950 is reportedly be priced at €659 ($736, £475) while the Lumia 950 XL at €749 ($837, £540). The prices shows that both the handsets could fall in the budget section.
The NDTV Gadgets cited some of the possible features that Lumia 950 and 950 XL might sport. The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL is said to feature a 5.7-inch QHD display, running in Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC. It will be having a 32GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card.
The 950 XL will also reportedly feature a 20-megapixel PureView rear camera with triple LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. This device will be supported with a USB Type-C port and an Iris Scanner, powered by a 3,300 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm's Quickcharge tech and Qi Wireless charging.
Meanwhile, the smaller Lumia 950 would be featuring a 5.2-inch QHD display. It is engineered with a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and a 3,000 mAh capacity battery. The rest of the features and specifications of this handset matches with that of Lumia 950 XL.
These two devices will be run by the newest operating system created by Microsoft, Windows 10. According to Pocket-lint, Windows 10 has been previewed through the Windows Insider program, bringing a range of enhancements to the Windows Phone. There will be a shift to make things easier to control and some large steps, like introducing Outlook for a stronger Office presence as an integrated app.
The new browser has a better Action Centre and it also caters an improvement to notifications also. Microsoft Windows 10 Continuum seems to be included on the devices which mean they can be plugged directly into monitors for use on a larger screen, thru a dedicated dock.
These specifications were not yet confirmed by Microsoft but it is believed that the predicted specs will somehow match the official ones that will be revealed when the Lumia 950 and 950 XL are launched this fall.
