Lumia 950, 950XL and Surface Pro 4 Expected To Be Unveiled On Microsoft's October 6th Event

The Microsoft Corporation will be unveiling its newest Lumia flagship, the 950 and 950XL, together with the Surface Pro 4 on October 6. These devices will come out of the box, running in the newest Microsoft operating system, Windows 10.

NDTV Gadgets recently reported that Microsoft has already sent out invites for a media event on October 6. The event will center on Windows 10 devices, which are expected to include the newest Surface Pro lineup and its fitness tracker Band. The long-rumoured Cityman (Lumia 950) and Talkman (Lumia 950 XL) Windows are also anticipated to be released.

According to The Verge, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 doesn't have a big difference from the Surface Pro 3. Since Microsoft has assured their avid fans that the company will keep the charging mechanism and over-all form factor akin for businesses that have spent in accessories like the docking station.

The software giant has increased the display size and resolution, while making the Surface Pro 4 thinner and lighter. It was then believed that Microsoft is planning Windows Hello to support the Surface Pro 4, but it's doubtful that the company will incorporate an Intel RealSense camera into the thin device. Instead, a fingerprint scanner on an updated and refined Surface keyboard sounds more possible.

Furthermore, Tech Advisor stated the features of the newest Lumia smartphones. The Nokia Lumia 950 has a 5.2-inch Quad-HD screen. This device has a 20 megapixel camera with Zeiss optics and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. It will be armed with 32 GB of storage plus a microSD support of up to 2 TB. Lumia 950 will be powered by 3,000 mAh capacity battery and runs Windows 10.

On the other hand, Lumia 950XL has a larger 5.7-inch Quad-HD screen. This handset has a 20 megapixel Pure View rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera great for selfies. It has a 32 GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD slot. Lumia 950XL will be powered with a 3,300 mAh capacity battery and an octacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. This gadget will also run on Windows 10. In addition, both phones would get iris-scanning technology with support for Windows Hello.

As Microsoft unveils its newest flagships with amazing specs, it is then expected that the Lumia 950, 950XL and Surface Pro 4 will get record breaking sales and positive reviews.
