After long years, the third installment for the movie, "The Ring", was scheduled for a release on fall. However, the original schedule was moved to early next year.

It was reported recently that Paramount Pictures is delaying the supposed November 13 debut date of the movie. Variety confirmed that the movie will take place in the first quarter of 2016 instead. Just after they have decided to concede Charlie Kaufman's "Anomalisa" in Oscar, they also switched Adam McKay's "The Big Short" to "The Ring" into this calendar year. Originally, The Big Short was supposed to be out next year.

According to The Wrap, "The Ring" would have opposed Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's "By the Sea", Warner Bros "The 33" and "Love the Coopers" in its original date. Moreover, the movie might have faced-off against "Friday the 13th" which was moved from November 13 to May 13, 2016 and "Paranormal Activity: Ghost Dimension" from March to October 23, 2015 if they did not push back.

Under the direction of the Spanish filmmaker F. Javier Gutiérrez (Before the Fall), "The Ring" stars Johnny Galecki (The Big Bang Theory), Matilda Lutz and Alex Roe. Collider revealed that the sequel movie has had waited for 13 long years since the first installment.

In 2002, "The Ring" was remade from the Japanese horror film titled "Ring" which was based on the original "Ring" novel written by Kôji Suzuki. Then the first sequel followed in 2005. The first American remake film in the movie series has earned a total of $129 million nationwide.

Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes will be the producers alongside Guillermo Del Toro as the executive producer and David Loucka, Jacob Aaron Estes and Akiva Goldsman penned the script. Aside from the previous title of "The Ring 3D", there are no other details about the movie franchise.

But, sources say it will be a spin-off story of Samara's reign of torture via videotape. Paramount has not given any specific dates of release yet.
