Alyssa Milano breaks down during an appearance on "The Talk" when giving her reaction on the news about her previous "Who's The Boss" co-star Danny Pintauro's confession of having a positive HIV status.
The actress, who worked with Danny on the ABC sitcom from 1984 to 1992, said this move by Pintauro is a 'very brave' one. "I hate that it took him so long to feel comfortable, but I'm so glad that he is able to express himself now, and I guarantee you he will change so many lives," said Milano on The Talk.
In an article from Daily Mail, the teary Alyssa expressed her positive views about Danny's situation and what expectations she has. "I'm so grateful that this disease is now being discussed again because it feels like there was such a long time that it wasn't, and he is a beacon of light, and he will be."
"I'm proud," Milano said following Pintauro's onscreen mother Judith Light, who also said she was 'proud' of Danny. Although they are no longer close to each other, the former young stars Alyssa and Pintauro show up in front of different audience during the popular 80s sitcom.
Pintauro explained in an emotional interview on Oprah: Where Are They Now? why he is decided to finally speak publicly regarding his health condition, 12 years after his diagnosis.
"I wanted to tell you this a long time ago, but I wasn't ready. I'm ready now, I'm HIV-positive and I have been for 12 years," he revealed.
Pintauro now stands up and being a voice in making a difference. He captioned a picture with his husband, Wil Tabares posted on Instagram, "Last meal as a nobody, First meal as an activist."
While it took a lot of guts for Pintauro to tell the world about his condition, his confession has sparked different comments from his supporters. However, some fans share the same emotion with Alyssa Milano when she reacted about Danny Pintauro's HIV reveal. Many commended the activist for standing strong.
