The Winchester boys are back! A recently released sneak peek of the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 11 premiere titled "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire" features the brothers facing some of the show's darkest drama to date. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will encounter something gruesome as they travel through Nebraska. Right off, fans will get to witness the aftermath of the dark Season 2 finale.
IB Times reports that the brothers apparently walk into a crime scene of a group of construction workers whose throats are covered in thick, black veins, lying dead in the middle of the road. They also see a family who appears to have been killed in a shootout.
Before they try to figure out what happened, one of the construction workers sporting the same suspicious marks on his neck approaches them. Dean pulls out his gun but a police officer shoots at the man before Dean has a chance to. The officer then checks on the brothers' neck for a sign of the unknown plague.
Could The Darkness be behind the massive deaths and the black-veined creatures terrorizing the community? There is a big chance that the cloud of darkness could be the main culprit that will lead humans to become "murderous machines" reports Cartermatt.
The trailer also revealed that Sam will become infected with the same disease that plagued the construction workers. How he gets infected and if there is a cure for his disease are the questions fans hope will be answered very early in the season.
JobsNHire reveals the possibility of the female police officer becoming the brothers' ally. A promotional still for Season 11 of the series show Sam and Dean escorting her to a healthcare facility. This may probably be after the trio's encounter with infected people.
The Winchester brothers look like they have a big and deadly battle in their hands. Tune in on the CW on October 7 for the return of "Supernatural" Season 11.
