As the biggest search engine company released its newest operating system, it is already rumored that Samsung's current flagships will definitely receive the update soon.
Tech Times recently reported that Samsung Electronics is said to be planning for a major update for its current flagships that include the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. Meanwhile, numerous speculations are being created on the nature of the upgrade; it is most likely that the next update will be bigger than the ones that are usually released.
According to Christian Today, it is then predicted to jump from the handset's current Lollipop version to the newer 6.0 Marshmallow platform. Many belives there might be some truth to the speculations, given that most of Samsung's flagships are already running on the Android 5.1.1 version.
In addition, the firmware version for some handsets, like the S6 Edge, will be changed from a U2 to U3 designation. This means that some of the changes from the update will involve big enhancements on user interface features.
Master Herald further proves that the Samsung's current flagships will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has reported recently, that even though the devices will not immediately take on the Marshmallow update, as the right belongs visibly to Google's Nexus devices, the mentioned four smartphones and phablets are already confirmed to receive the latest mobile OS.
Moreover, a number of other handsets made by the Korean tech giant that was released late in 2013 and 2014 will also get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates.
As the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be rolled out to some of the Samsung smartphones soon, the company's avid fans will be eagerly waiting for the upgrade.
